Unpacking My Digital Suitcase
A Collaborative To-Do List
Hello there, virtual comrades,
I just finished my ship30for30 cohort.
It feels a bit like coming back from summer camp, but instead of sunburns and mosquito bites, I've got a shiny new digital writing game.
If you’re scratching your head wondering, "Ship-what?", it’s part-boot camp, part writer's retreat, and awesome hosts sharing golden nuggets (@dickiebush and @Nicolascole77).
30 essays in 30 days. No sick days, no "I accidentally spilt coffee on my keyboard" days, just sheer determination and ruthless deadlines.
Curious about the ship30? check more info here
(affiliate link - yes, that's me trying to afford my next coffee).
This journey consumed all my spare time, leaving my personal brand-building adrift.
Now that the cohort has ended, I'll fill the void of free time I got back with housekeeping my digital footprint.
My first step my next steps here.
And why not start with an unfiltered peek into my chaotic to-do list?
Heads up: I'm a newbie in this department. So, don’t take this as a blueprint.
And feel free to ignore the order.
Chaos is a ladder, or so they say.
I’m going transparent because I’m hopeful (maybe naive?) that YOU will jump aboard.
That’s how you can contribute:
A. Curiosity piqued about one item?
Holler, "Document this, PLEASE!"
B. Got skills?
Yell, "Hey, I can help with that!"
( don’t shy away from trying to sell me stuff, be upfront about it)
Let’s build together.
Your brand and mine.
Or leave it all behind and start that taco stand we’ve always dreamed of.
Onto the list:
1) Crafting my offer
Years of diving deep into the advertising abyss have left me with a treasure chest (no pirates, I promise) of experience.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with brands like Ford, Adidas, BMW, Nike – the big fish.
It's time to mould that into some juicy creative consultancy.
I also have a vivid image of my ICP (Ideal Client Persona):
Founders, solopreneurs, and creators in the sports and wellness world who’ve surpassed the toddler stage and need some flair. People that have their basis up and running and are ready to take things up a notch.
That’s where I want to come in, auditing their brand and content for a creative leap.
This is what I don’t know:
Where does an offer live? On a sleek landing page?
A Notion doc? Maybe a message in a bottle? Could you help?
2) Pricing
I’m starting this from scratch.
I have "Pricing Creativity" from Blair Enns idling on my desk, waiting to be devoured. (Thanks, Lorenzo!)
Your insights here would be appreciated.
3) Up my newsletter game
Intro sequence:
Once my offer is in better shape, I’ll craft an intro sequence. I’ve got drafts ready.
Spoiler: it’s about ideas, psychology, and copywriting.E-mail Provider Migration:
I'm considering moving from beehiiv to ConvertKit.
My current inbox is a mess. Plus, a mini-course on ConvertKit rules and tags caught my eye.
Thoughts?Build a decent subscribing landing page:
ConvertKit has slick templates.
Curious about my journey as a non-designer?Newsletter auto plug:
HypeFury or Tweet Hunter?
Strong feelings about either/or?
Please roller!
4) Crafting my first, glorious... Thingy
I’m writing a killer course on punchy one-liners.
Chances are you know the special place they hold in my heart, given how often I write about them.
But what should I do with it?
A lead magnet for my newsletter?
A free short course that leads to a long paid one?
Start free for a limited time and charge later?
Make it robust and free and lead to my offer?
A sandwich board outside my house?
Got a clue? Help, please 🙃
5) Collaborations
I want to exercise this muscle more.
In fact, this entire e-mail is a love letter for that.
From co-hosting Spaces, Newsletter collaborations, Masterclasses on other people’s cohorts, you name it; I’m up.
As a matter of fact, let me start it right away.
If you like my content on Storytelling, make sure you check Pang’s newsletter.
6) Paid Ads
This is more to understand the process and flow than anything else.
I have written ads for other people for years.
Would love to try out the process end to end for once out of curiosity and a learning experiment.
(Is this your thing?)
TL;DR
1)Crafting Offers
2)Pricing
3)Newsletter Improvements
4)Course Creation
5)Collaborations
6)Paid Ads
Wrapping up, any feedback or insights you'd like to share?
Feel free to suggest anything I might've overlooked.
Now, I have tons to do.
But you? Enjoy your Sunday.
Love,
Khlauss Feldhaus
